I did okay for this month.
Running balance: $6.95
February amount: $25.00
Spend: $19.00
Credits for finishes: $0.00
Total is: $12.95
I am still in my budget! Two months in a row! Whoo-hoo! I bought these two patterns:
The Witches of Booville by Stoney Creek was $7.00. It is a used pattern and I couldn't resist it. The witches are cute.
I got Nora Corbett's Geranium Pixie. I love her colors. I want to get her fabric soon but I might wait into April or do her on a white.
I have to get a business suit for interviews. I am now looking for part time job. I need to look the part. My class is doing Mock Interviews in ten weeks. The Career Director, who oversees all the career centers on all campuses, will be doing the interview. The teacher wants us to have the full experience of being interview. So nervous thinking about it now but it will be a good experience.
I have been stitching on my SAL, Fleurs de Ciel. I am still on page 1. I know I will finish page 1 this weekend, but I do not think I will be done with page 2 by March 10. I am hoping I can still get the next pages. I will send her a message next week.
I am so happy March will be here in a couple days. I am so tired of the cold. One morning, last week, it was a -5 degrees! Without the wind chill! When it hits the 40s and 50s, it is going feel so nice! I can not wait! But we do have some more of that white stuff on Sunday into Monday morning. I hope I can go to school still.
I hope everyone enjoys the next couple weeks. I will try to put up another update on my Fleurs when I get to page 2. Thank you for stopping by and reading my blog.
Until next time,
Vicky

Halloween is stitched by Glory Bee for Mary Louise in IN. The design was stitched on 28 count Delicate Teal using the recommended DMC threads. I do need to center my pieces a little bit better and stay away from the binders clips. They are leaving indents on the ornaments and I don't know why.
I received a couple ornaments too. This pumpkin was stitched by Jennifer from IN. She used a velvet ribbon for the inside trimming. On the back she machine embroidered my name and hers. Awesome idea! Thank you Jennifer!
This beautiful ornament was stitched by RavenSong in CA. I loved how she put it together. I love it. The thread she used for the lettering is gorgeous. I won't be surprise if it came from her own hand dyed threads. Thank you RavenSong!
Last week I showed my progress on Autumn Encounter by Kustom Krafts. Well it was the only piece I stitched this week, but I made good progress. I am pass the half way point. Page 2 is coming out on Tuesday, so I am hoping to catch up by the time page 3 comes out. I am loving the colors!
I did take a few pictures of my area. Part of a a highway route goes through some mountains. I took some pictures as we were driving by and no, I wasn't driving. As you will see a lot of yellows and oranges and lots of greens still. The reds are not ready to come out yet, very late this year.
I hope you have a great week!
Hugs
Vicky

Short update
Here is Fright Night Friends by Stoney Creek. I am on page 4. I have been stitching exchanges. They will be going in the mail tomorrow. I was waiting for some Kreinik. Now I can finish the witch and do the back stitching.
I have a new start, Kustim Krafts Autumn Encounter. It is the SAL the group is having and I like stitching it. It's very time consuming with lots of color changes. I am going try work on it at least one day a week. I am trying to give attention to at lot of WIPs.
It am making this short for now. I have other projects to show, but they are not ready for download. The weather has been beautiful and cool. The leaves are turning and will try get pictures next time. The colors are coming late this year. I am hoping for a mild winter this coming season.
Until next time,
Vicky

Update and A Finish
Here is my update on my Fright Night Friends for Week 7. My goal this week is the second L and the sign post. I didn't stitch on it today which is Monday. I was finishing up on Paws. I was so close to finishing it, I didn't want to wait until Thursday to finish it.
Nora Corbett came out with a new pixie, Fairie Summer Love (FSL) and I fell in love with it. I love the greens in her dress and blue wings. I am going to to stitch her on a Silkweaver solo I had in my stash. She will have a few stitches by next week's update.
Joann's had a 27 cents sale on Saturday. I took advantage of it, and got 95 skeins. Plus I wrapped majority of them on bobbins that night, and it took me about 6 hours. I am planning to use the skeins for FSL, Mirabila Lady of Freedom, and Sue Hillis Maps of Connecticut and Massachusetts. The maps are for my aunt. She had the patterns and gave them to me. I will be starting Massachusetts on Thursday. I will be starting 2 new projects this week.
My dad is still in the rehab but he is doing good. We are hoping he will be home this week. It's been two weeks since his surgery. My cousin came over and fixed the dishwasher. I am very happy it works now.
Have a great week!
Hugs,
Vicky

This took me longer than I expected. One of the reasons is I have been getting headaches recently and been a little tired in the afternoons. This summer is better than last year when I didn't want to stitch at all due to depression. I do need to get a button for the middle paw, but I won't show this again until I finish it into a wall hanging. I got the fabric and trimming already.

Traveling Pattern, Giveaway and Update
First a small update on my Fright Night Friends. I am almost done with page 2. The ghost is adorable. This week is the Pumpkin Patch. Most of it is the Kreinik thread. It is cool it glows in the dark but it can be such a huge pain.
Snowflower Diaries is having a great giveaway. I did stitch a couple of her designs but I don't see them on my blog. They were for a Spring exchange a couple months ago. Or I deleted the post by accident. Click here to get the information on the giveaway.
A couple months ago I won a traveling pattern and it finally arrived from Moscow, Russia.
It came last week and I stitched it in 3 days. I added gold beads to the strawberries and the centers in the flowers. Now I am offering it to my blog friends, just a few rules.
Post a comment on this post and I will pick a winner on July 29. Good luck!
Have a great week!
Hugs,
Vicky

This is Halloween SAL I am doing with a few ladies. I have a strong start. I like stitching on it but its only on Monday to Wednesday. By time Wednesday comes along, my groove is going strong and I don't want to put it down.
What am I doing on Thursday to Sunday? Well, I am doing some UFOs. Sunday I picked out Lizzie Kate ABC Lessons. I didn't get much done. It was very hot and humid plus my air conditioner didn't get into my window until Sunday evening.
This picture show I did finish the word friendship, the rose, the bu
butterfly and the letter Q. I will be getting back to this one in 2 weeks.
This is Halloween House and it went into the garbage. What went wrong? Not thinking and being careless with scissors. I stitched the left side on Friday and Saturday. When I was stitching the pumpkin I realize I was missing a row. It drove me nuts on where I lost it. The gate bars on the right, one with the big pumpkin, is off one stitch. Now I figure I had to frog everything I stitched. So I started cutting at top of the left, half way through, I yelled "You Idiot!!" to myself. All I had to do was frog the pumpkins, bottom of the gates, and the grass. Duh! I was almost done than the scissors slipped. By then i lost all my patience, which is hard to do, and threw out the piece. I don't think I ever threw a piece out before. I did find another piece of fabric and dyed it a blue color. I will probably restarted Halloween House in 2 weeks.
This house is a freebie from gazette94. I am trying to stitch on it a little each day. Last few days have not been successful. There is a lot of blue. I do like the pattern.

I was looking for something in my stash and I came across this, almost finished. I even had 2012 in the corner. I don't know why I didn't finish it. I know it was a Christmas gift from one of my exchanges in 2011 and I started while I was visiting my friend in Virginia. It came out adorable.
This week I will be working on Time To Go and Gaze. I will try show my progress on Monday. I was trying to do this week's update on Monday but blogger was not behaving very well. I will leave you with a couple pictures of the moon on June 23rd.It was beautiful and peaceful.

Exchanges & Finishes

I participated in the Home Sweet Home exchange on the Stitched With Love exchange blog. June was my partner and she stitched me a beautiful pin pilloe. It is gorgeous. She included the pattern Dew Drop Fairy. It is a pretty pattern and is part of a series. Plus there are notecards, olive green thread spool, flower printed tissues, fabric, ribbon saying Home Sweet Home, and a postcard close to her home. Thank you June!
I send to Melanie in the U.K. I stitched LHN Saltbox Village, and included needles, Heart in Hand Family Medley pattern, hand dyed material I did myself, fat quarters fabric, threads, notecards and beads. I forgot the postcard. Melaine said she liked everything!

In my Stitching Sisters group, Cindy send me this gorgeous sttiched framed piece for the spring exchange. It came in this huge box and was light as a feather. I have to add a backing to the stitched piece and lined it better before I hang it up. I love it! Thank you Cindy!
I finished up the Christmas ornament exchange In The Stitcherhood group. I won't say who got which one because they haven't let me know if they received yet, but I can show them off. They were very quick and I added beads to add some bling to them.

In my ILCSing group, I participated in the Blooming May exchange. I stitched an ornament for Tiina. It was shipped to Finland and she got it in less than a week. I added some ribbon and fower printed nail filers.
Judith from Germany send me this lovely exchange, a pin pillow, purple ribbon, and some floral patterns. Thank you Judith!
Butterfly and Seahorse fobs
I bought these 2 fobs from Mary Louise on Facebook. The picture is not doing justice to the fobs. They sparkle alot. Seahorse is my favorite aquatic fish. I would love to learn how to make my own fobs. I tried to find instructions on the internet but no luck.

I finished Hope for my aunt. I need to finish it but I am debating to frame it or make it into a pillow. I have Faith and Love to do and I am thinking to do Hope again for myself.
I join a Halloween SAL in my new group on FB, Every Stitch Counts. On Mondays to Wednesdays, I will be stitching Stoney Creek Fright Night Friends. I dyed the material a light purple. When I took the material out of the dye bath, it was a bright magenta color. I was so happy it lighten up a lot and it became the color I pictured in my head. That rarely happens. It usually becomes a color hue I don't expect. As you see, I am all set to go.
Thank you for reading my blog. I am now exchange free so all my stitching is for me right now. I might be able do more frequent updates instead monthly. In July, I am celebrating my 5th year blogiversary, and just notice I had 297 followers. I am gathering items for a gift away and there might be 2 if I get over 300 followers by July.
Have a beautiful week!
Hugs,
Vicky

First Finish and Round Robins
Live Laugh Love by Lizzie Kate
stitched on 14 count Rose aida
Threads: Carrie's Creations Bubblegum,
WDW Americana, Sassy's Strings Mystique, and DMC
SaI have my first finish of the year! A quick one, Lizzie Kate Live, Laugh, Love. I have been organizing my threads and I came across this pattern. I just had the urge to stitch it. It took me about 3 nights, I think. I finished it into a wall hanging ornament. I just need some Command hooks to put on my wall. I still need practice on measuring and cutting. I have the newer version I will do soon.
My Round Robins came home. I am not sure how to finish them off. I think they are too big for a Christmas tree ornaments. I hand-dyed the fabrics myself. The ladies did a fantastic job on them. Thank you so much!

This is Whitney's round robin. Hers is Lizzie Kate Spring Sampler. I stitched the last row. It's on its way home.
In November, I stitched a Halloween freebie for the second time. I had loved the pattern. Plus a friend had stitched and I loved the fabric choice she made with hers, I just had to get the same fabrics. I just couldn't get it out of my mind. I am going make it into a flat fold. The picture is not doing its justice. The green is so much brighter.
