Couple Exchanges, Few Finishes and the Shoppe

I received a couple exchanges I had organized in the ILCSing yahoo group.  This is the Christmas in July exchange, which came from Sue. She stitched a SanMan snowman, which is so adorable. She included three hand-dyed threads in Christmas colors. I can't wait to add this snowman on my tree.  Thank you Sue!
The next exchange is the Summer exchange from Berly.  She stitched a patriotic coaster, which I love, and added Bobbie G. A Tweety Happy 4th, Lizzie Kate Summer ABC's and Summer Basket, an angel charm, and several packets of a peach drink. I can't wait to start the birdhouses. Thank you Berly!

I had to finish Liberty Belles in a wall hanging.  It is not perfect but I like how it came out.  The mistake I made, if you are wondering, a row is missing on the Belle on your right.  I was suppose to put a white  stitch between the hands and sleeves. When I realize what I did, it didn't make a difference at all. The Belles  are hanging on my wall.  I really shouldn't put anything on my walls since I am going be painting them in a couple months.  Well, my aunt and brother are doing the painting.
While I was doing the finishes for the Belles, I decided to finish a couple Christmas ornaments, which I stitched them last year.  I can't wait to put them on my tree.  Is it almost the holiday season?
Here is my progress on the Shoppe.  I stitched it on Sunday as I watch True Blood and Extreme Chef.  I am still stitching my exchange and hoping to get back to the Shoppe by Friday.
I did stitch on my exchange today but not yesterday.  I just did not get to it. I have a dentist appointment tomorrow.  I am getting partial dentures for my top front teeth.  The teeth are gone, now its time for the impressions part.  Thursday I have an eye doctor, for a field test and pick up my new glasses. Friday I am going to the mall and stitch, and Saturday,  our new stove is coming.

Have a great week!
Many hugs,
Vicky

Liberty Belles and more exchanges

I finished Little House Needleworks Liberty Belles.  I stitched the design on 28 count Crystal Harmony lugana with the recommended with one change.  I switched a green-gray color for a blue gray color. I love how it came out and the material sparkles too.   I did make a mistake which I left in.  Can you guess the mistake?

I join in an exchange in Stitching With Love Exchanges blog.  This was a secret exchange and my partner spoiled me.  The theme was Tea/Picnic for a summer afternoon.  Barb stitched a lovely strawberry pin  pillow and she included a cat plaque, a cat needle minder, ice cream sundae napkins, Dinky Dyes silk threads, and a piece of purple fabric from Sassy's Fabbys.  Thank you so much Barb!
The person I send to  lives in Canada.  Until I get word she got my package, it will be a secret a little bit longer, I hope.

Marjorie, of The  Pumpkin Patch Stitcher, had a giveaway and I won.  When the package came, my mouth dropped!  I was just expecting the prize I won, CCN Tea Room pattern, but she included a tea cup dish towel, tea pot cover, a small stitched pillow and several patterns.  I am just touch by her generosity. I cant wait to start a couple of them. Thank you Marjorie!

In KraftersKorner, there was a coaster exchange I had to join.  Carien sent me the coaster she made for me.  She stitched a flower  with strawberries with beads on a plastic canvas.  It is very lovely and it will come very handy with my drinks.  Thank you Carien!

I picked up Lizzie Kate ABC Lessons this past week.  This is what it looked before I started stitching again.  I have since finished the word "Be" in the first line, the word "thanks"in  the second line, and the letter "H" in the third line.  I had finished a bookmark and a coaster for exchanges and working on a Christmas ornament for another exchange.  Sorry no pictures until they reach their new homes. The rest  of the pictures is my new stash I got from my retreat.  I have a lot of stitching to do!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and trying to keep cool!

Many hugs,
Vicky
