3 Finishes!

July just flew by! And I didn't do anything special. I have been taking care of my leg and finally went to the Wound Care Center. Now I will be going every week to get it clean. This past Friday I went for an ultra sound for my leg. The doctor wants to see how my veins are working. I won't get the results until Thursday. The doctor and the nurses are saying it is healing, but for me, not fast enough. I didn't want to spend my summer with my leg up and that is what happened this year.

I do have a few finishes. I finished Little House Needleworks The Bookshelf. I want to frame this one but I think I might have to get it done professionally. The size is a little odd and it will be hard to find a frame for its siz
e.

I finished a ornament from the Christmas preview Just Cross Stitch magazine. Thanks Deborah for the magazine! It is a Glory Bee designed called Dec 25. It was stitched on French Vanilla 14 count aida from Sassy's Fabbys. I just love her hand dyed fabbys. I just need a star button to put on it so I can finish it off.

The last finish I have is Seize the Day from Forever in My Heart. I used Silkweaver's Grape Ripple 28 count cashel linen. It is for a friend and I shouldn't be showing it on my blog yet because she sometimes reads my blog. But I just love the colors in this pattern. I used Cresent Colors threads and it came out awesome.

Thanks for reading my blog.
Have many stitches until next time.

Your stitching is lovely Vicky especially the book one. Would love to stitch that one day seeing I am a prolific reader. Hope your leg heals really quickly.

Hi Vicky

All three finishes are fabulous. I love, love the Bookshelf. I really should dig mine out of the wip basket and work on it. LOL

I am glad to hear that your leg is healing. Take care of it so it heals quicker.

Vicky, I love them all! Bookshelf has always been a favorite of mine. The ornie is darling and I love the fabric and colors you chose for Seize the Day. Hope you get good news about your leg.

All are great finishes. You might want to try just getting a mat cut to the strange size, but with an outer size that is *normal* that way you are only paying for the mat and can get a stock frame. Just a thought.
