200 Plus Followers Giveaway

I have reached over 200 followers, more like 231 followers.  I am so honored so many will come read my blog about my life and stitching.  I have met so many people around the world through blogging and it touches me you take time from your life to visit my blog. I really appreciate your visits.

For the giveaway, I will send the winner a  $20 gift certificate from 123Stitch!, my favorite stitching store.  The rules  are:

1.)  Comment to this post, stating you wish to enter in the giveaway with your email address.
2.)   You must be a follower, old or new.
3.)    For an extra entry, answer the following question in a separate  reply post.
If  you could meet and have dinner with a cross stitch designer, who would it be and why? I am anxious to read your replies.
My answer is a tied for Nora Corbett of Mirabilia designs and Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks.  I have always admired Mirabilia designs since I discovered her in 2003. I  have many patterns of her works, and even have couple kitted and started, but sadly have not finished one yet.  I have seen several pieces finish and the do inspire me.
I was introduced to Little House Needleworks from a stitcher friend through an exchange.  I fell in love instantly. Why I didn't find these patterns sooner, I don't know.  I have been following her blog for over a year and I feel I know her a little.  She seems to be very down to earth person and I would be honor to meet her someday.

I will pick a winner on March 2. Good luck!

If I understood correct you want the answer to the designer question in a separate comment. If I didn't understand correctly I'm sorry.

I would love to meet Michele from HAED. I love that she does artwork that I love and would love to talk to her about the art world.

Hi Vicky
For your question if I could meet any designer and have dinner with that designer my choice would be:
Brenda Gervais of With Thy Needle and Thread, I love her designs and have quite a few of them. I signed up for the Birds of a Feather mystery just that it was designed by her.

Hi again Vicky. If I could meet and have dinner with a designer it would be Diane Arthurs. She was the first designer I stitched that didn't use quarted stitches. (I really, really, dislike them) I love the bright colors and whimsical designs that she comes up with.

Hmmm, if I could meet and have dinner with one cross stitch designer it would be Belinda Karls-Nace of Blue Ribbon Designs, simply because I adore her designs and find her so happy for each and every chart that a stitcher creates and even more so about how they are interpreted by each one who stitches it.
I just love that!
Great question, Vicky :)

If I could meet and have dinner with a cross stitch designer, it would probably be Thea Gouverneur. I have not yet stitched any of her pieces but would love to do so. I'd also ask if she could offer charts and/or offer different fabrics in her kits. If the choice could be extended to long and short stitch (aka needlepainting), it would be Trish Burr. I love her realistic-looking birds and flowers and would love to learn from her! Theresa

Wow, everyone has some great answers! Ok, if I could have dinner with any designer, it would be Angie Kowalsky of Linen Flower Designs. I first 'met' Angie many years ago when I lost my job downtown. Angie took a chance on a brand new model stitcher and paid me $200 to stitch one of her first designs. Since then, I've stitched several more for her and we have become good friends. I admire not only her work, but her faith and her love for her family.

My designer I'd like to meet is Michelle at Heaven and Earth Designs, though sometimes I feel like I know her a bit b/c of facebook.

You have fabulous projects and finishes!!

For my second entry in your giveaway, I have an easy answer, although this person is not a designer, per se. If I got to sit down with someone it would be Michele Sayetta of HAED. I would love to know her process when she charts things. I talk to her regularly through emails, and so I know her pretty well. But I would love to hear how she converts her artists designs.
