Third Day of Christmas

On the Third Day of Christmas, Elizabeth gave me 2 hoops.  One is 5 inches and the other 7 inches.  This stitching girl can never have enough hoops in her stash.  They will be handy for my challenge next year.  Thank you Elizabeth!  I can't wait for tomorrow's gift.

Well I got my haircut. Alot of hair was cut from my head.  Here is the pile:

Most of the hair is in a bag. There is an organization call Wigs for Kids  so I am hoping to send my hair to them.  It is too short for Lockets of Love organization.  I think 6-7 inches were cut off.  Now do you want to see my new hair do?  Am  I hearing yes? LOL  Ok here is my new hairdo.  The picture is  not the greatest.

See ya tomorrow!

Hugs
Vicky

All I can say is that I had a lot of fun shopping for you, Vicky. We have a JoAnn's and a Michael's here that sell cross stitch items. We used to have Crafts Direct (changed its name to Ben Franklin) and Northwest Fabrics (changed its name to Hancock Fabrics) but they both closed. I missed the huge closeout sale at Ben Franklin but I wasn't sure when it took place. There is rumor going around town that Hobby Lobby is considering bringing a store here. I still have my gift card for that store from my March birthday to use. We have one just an hour away in Fargo, but the city is getting too "metropolitan" for me LOL. So, going from 5 places that sold cross-stitch items down to 2 and then back up to 3 is giving me hope LOL.

You are a brave lady to have that much of your hair taken off. I haven't cut my hair in years and don't have plans to ever do so. I think that those who do it and donate what was taken off to one of the organizations that makes hair pieces/wigs for others is a kind thing.

I just bought a hoop the other day. They are really nice for those projects that don't fit in Q-Snaps. Love your haircut.

great gift for the 3rd day. A stitcher can never have too many hoops. I think sending your hair off to Wigs for Kids is a great idea. Your haircut is cute.

What a great gift of more hoops! I was thinking of getting more for my Crazy January Challenge too.

I also donated my hair twice to Locks of Love. I only get it cut about every 2 years or so. It goes from waist length up to my shoulders!
